Women’s Lingerie: Robes
Women’s Lingerie: Robes and How to Choose the Right One
Women’s robes come in a number of different styles and they all suit a different purpose. There are silky wrappers that are barely there and are meant to make a woman feel sexy and glamorous. There are short robes that are flirty and cute and then there are robes that she can grab and put on when she needs to answer the door during her morning shower. If you are a man and want to buy a lingerie robe for your wife or girlfriend, here are the tips that you should follow.
Women’s Lingerie – Know the Types
If you want your lady to feel sexier, then you don’t go out and buy her a chenille robe. Sexy robes are silk, satin, even sometimes soft brushed cotton. They are never chenille, they are never terry cloth and they are never fleece. Don’t buy a robe that has an animal printed on the front and expect her to pole dance for you. Don’t buy one with a zipper that goes up to the neck (no zippers at all, please.) Don’t buy her one that would serve as a winter coat or one that has been advertised on an infomercial on late night TV.
Women’s Lingerie – Know the Size
Nothing is more embarrassing than opening a gift and finding that it is all the wrong size. As a husband, you do have access to her clothes- take a peek and see what is written in the tags of the clothing that she is wearing. If she has ripped out the tags or worse, has altered or changed the tags, then you are dealing with someone who is very paranoid about her size and you should consider giving her a gift certificate instead.
Women’s Lingerie – Know Where to Go
Some women are going to be thrilled if they see the bag or box from certain stores while others could not care less. If you are going to buy a women’s robe from an online lingerie store, make sure that it is returnable if it doesn’t fit or she just does not like it at all. If she does have a preference, she will let you know in ways that can range from the subtle to the very hard to miss.
Women’s Lingerie – Know Your Limit
Alright, so last year you bought her a red, lacy, women’s robe for Valentine’s Day and then a pale green one for Mother’s day. There was the yellow one for her birthday and then a dark green one for Christmas. She has enough robes. Just because one worked well and she really liked it, some men will get hooked on the gift and will buy it for every holiday thereafter. Unless she has specifically said she would like just one more robe, buy her something else. Maybe the slippers to match some of her robe collection would be a nice alternative.
